| It's already been over a week since the kidnapping of the Korean hostages in Afghanistan. I remember hearing about it from a friend when it happened and I kind of just said, man that's terrible. But I didn't think about it again, until I heard there was an execution of one of the hostages. At that point, I realized that this situation is real and its not something that's just made up and in some far off land that I don't need to care about. I realized too that even though I said it sucked when I initially heard the first news, in my heart, I really didn't care. I was too self-absorbed with my own life and things that I needed to do and I admit, I looked to other news like sports to drown out the Korean hostage situation. I realized how selfish I've been with this situation and I'm dissappointed with myself. I forgot that these people that are kidnapped, are my brothers and sisters in Christ. I should be keeping them in prayer in this horrible situation.
Here's a blog by Pastor Eugene Cho from Quest Church in Seattle. He's been updating the situation. http://eugenecho.wordpress.com/2007/07/31/prayer-for-korean-hostages-in-afghanistan/
Its just pretty sad that when you look at CNN.com and read about this situation, on the right it shows the most viewed stories. And stories like Lindsay Lohan getting pulled over, or Spears and Federline divorce, are the top stories.

| So I preached for the first time this past Sunday. Some of you have been asking how it went. It went well even though I was freaking nervous. God is Good! I was soooo stressed the past few weeks and I'm glad its finally over. But I realize that I got to keep improving and preaching in as many opportunities as I can.
So if you want to hear my first sermon, its at my church's website - www.emetro.org or you can go directly to http://podcast.com/show/6826/
Alrite PEACE OUT!

| Suns DebateSo the NBA rumor is that Minnesota is shopping around Kevin Garnett. He was about to get traded to Boston Celtics, but then it was cancelled when KG said he didn't want to play in Boston. But he said that he would like to play in Phoenix. So the Suns and Wolves talked, and Minny requested Amare Stoudamire and next year's ATL unprotected draft pick. What do you think about this?
Get KG now, and maybe that will be the push to win an NBA title? Or would that ruin team chemistry. Apparently, Amare isn't the best teammate and so KG coming, could actually build better camaraderie, but it would still take time to get adjusted to playing with each other.
But then Amare is so much younger, 6 years younger. He will be a star for a long time... unless something happens to his knees in the future. So what should the Suns do??
EDIT: I forgot to put my own opinion. I think I would do the trade. The Suns can think about the future or whatever. But they can only win it when Nash is still with them. Nash probably has like 2-3 good years left. Might as well make the push for the championship in the next few years.
Amare is a good player, but I just don't like his attitude. I read the book "6 seconds or less" and it had some inside information on how Amare acts in the locker room. He apparently isn't a team player. When he was injured all last year, he just sat around and was a distraction to the team. The coaching staff were thinking of asking him to just stay home the rest of the season because of how much he distracted the team. I'm old-fashioned mayber, but I like class act, character guys. Amare just comes off so self-absorbed and cocky. Actually, he doesn't come off that way, he just is. But of course, he's one of the most talented players. But I think if you add KG, you get a class act guy and person that has all the skills Amare currently has, but is in a huge upgrade in defense and staying out of foul trouble. He just has a better idea of how to play defense and also defensive rebounding. So I would go for it. Make a push... try to win it now! Amare will be good, but will he be the same without Nash? Or can he carry a whole team? I don't know about that. But i'd be willing to give that chance up.. to just win a championship now.
